Small furries in West Wales looking for forever homes

Getting in touch

PLEASE NOTE: We are not a rescue centre and no longer operate rehoming animals to the public.

Rhydowen Rodent Refuge is in the rural village of Rhydowen, not far from Llandysul in Ceredigion, West Wales. We do not publish our full address as it is primarily our home. Also, we do not want to find dumped animals on our doorstep, as so often happens at other rescues. We could be away or out all day (we work full time) and not find the animals before they succumb to the heat or cold. We also have foxes and red kites in the area.

For general enquiries contact via email is preferred:

If you find an injured animal please take it to a vet if safe to do so. UK vets are duty bound to treat wild animals for free.

In an emergency contact the RSPCA:  0300 1234 999

General Information

We have links to recommended vets and also pet supplies, welfare sites and some of the many rescues around the UK on our links page.  Please email us with any other queries.

Thank you
